It is 2014. a new year and a new chance for a new beginning. There are those among us who probably have made bad decisions in the past of feel that they could have done better in the many spheres that make up one's life. The New Year is a chance to make changes. of course change can be made anytime but most of us look for a point to hold on to before we make a change. Hence, the New Year.

What are my hopes for the New Year? To be  happy and healthy, for myself and my loved ones. A little less weight an little more exercise. Call me a coward but I shun from being specific. I am at they age, where i have the luxury of saying, 'I will try my best'.

For my friends out there, this too will be my wishes to you. In the process of looking at the big picture, forget not those closest to you.

The Joy of Blogging

Blogging allows one to put down thoughts and ideas. It gives space for an individual not only to share ideas but also an avenue for creativity. It can be personalised and reporting will show the different moods of an individual. Blogging also creates a source of information for those who share similar concerns. It provides a platform for ideas to be shared and discussed.
 Today, being a Monday, sets the tone for my week. There are many things to be accomplished this week and to enjoy oneself while getting things done require a certain amount of planning. The trick being to always remember to reward oneself when a certain task id done. Rewards need not be big. Reading a few chapters of a favourite book, a cat nap or even talking with a loved one about nothing and everything could be considered as well deserved rewards. these activities also tend to energise us and set the pace for the next task.
All too often people tend to try to do as much as possible within the day and the end result is tiredness, resentment and of course, anger. So let us avoid this by doing things differently. Learn to forgive yourself for not doing everything everyday. It is okay. Happiness is more important.
